UNMIT UNPOL인 Ziad에게서 안부 메일이 왔다. 내가 한국에 귀국한 후부터는 그가 와다씨와 시민 대상 아이키도 클래스를, PNTL Academy 클래스를 혼자서 이끌고 있다.
Got an e-mail greeting from ZIad, UNPOL, UNMIT. He is continuing Aikido class in Timor-Leste for civilians with Mr. WADA, and for PNTL Academy.
메일 내용은 '모두들 그리워해요, 클래스는 더 커지고 있어요, 어쩌구 저쩌구.. 하지만 무엇보다도..'
He says; Everybody is fine there and misses me, the class is getting bigger, blah blah blah.. But most of all,
그와 4명의 PNTL 교관들이 동티모르를 방문한 UN사무총장 반기문 씨의 앞에서 7분 짜리 연무를 했다고 한다! 반기문 씨와 다른 UN 및 TL 인사들은 그 연무를 보고 대단히 기뻐했는데, 지아드는 이것이 한국의 UNPOL에 의해서 시작된 것이라고 설명했다고 한다.
He and 4 PNTL instructors did a 7-min Aikido demonstration in front of UN Secretrary General Mr. BAN Ki-moon on his visit! Mr. BAN and other UN personnels and TL staff were very glad to see it. Ziad mentioned it to Mr. BAN that it was initiated by a Korean UNPOL.

덧붙임; Ziad외 PNTL Academy 교관 4명의 사진과 연무 사진. 시민 대상 아이키도 클래스는 인원이 너무 많아져 1주일에 4번 수련으로 확대하자는 요구가 들어오고 있다고.
